Many Community Land Trusts (CLTs) offer technical assistance to newly forming housing cooperatives, and offer a way to keep the cooperatives permanently affordable. A CLT may be interested in partnering with a group of low-income seniors seeking to establish a permanently affordable coop, just as the Bay Area Community Land Trust did in Berkeley, California.
